Library Rules

General rules and code of conduct for the library

Prohibited conduct:
1. Engaging in disorderly conduct, fighting of challenging to fight, or using offensive words likely to provoke violence and/or using language that offends others.
2. Disturbing other patrons or staff.
3. Firearms and other weapons are not allowed in the library building.
4. Possessing, distributing or consuming alcohol or illegal drugs or being under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
5. Engaging in lewd behavior is not allowed.
6. Damaging, destroying, or stealing any library property or the property of another patron, staff or volunteer.
7. Any activity which may block or impair passage to and from the property.
8. Selling, soliciting, petitioning, and/ or canvassing.
9. The Board of Trustees of the Wellsville Public Library has declared the entrance to and the Library building a smoke free zone.

Conduct that breaks any of the above can result in being asked to leave the premises and possibly having future library privileges revoked.
